Charity worker confesses to plans kidnap and kill soldier

A 37-year-old Birmingham man pleaded guilty to plotting to kidnap and kill a British soldier.



Parviz Khan, an unemployed charity worker confessed to plans to capture and behead the unnamed Muslim serviceman.



Three other men have also admitted to offences connected with the plot.



All four men were arrested in a series of high profile raids in Birmingham last year.



Mr. Khan has been charged with plotting to kidnap and kill a member of the British armed forces, between April 2006 and February 2007.



The other three men will be tried in court.
