England beat New Zealand
Captain Paul Collingwood led England to a six-wicket win at Eden Garden to keep the one-day series against hosts New Zealand alive.
Opting to field, England had the Kiwis 95 for 6 but Jacob Oram smashed 88 off 91 balls to help the home side to 234 for 9.
Chasing a revised 229 in 47 overs after rain, Ian Bell (73) and Kevin Pietersen (41) shared 107 but fell in three overs to Daniel Vettori.
Collingwood hit three sixes in 70 runs from 50 balls to secure victory with three overs left, leaving the series at 2-1. Collingwood finished with three for 43 from nine overs.
He was well supported by Stuart Broad, who took three for 32 from 10. James Anderson took two for 41.
The fourth match in the series is next Wednesday in Napier. The teams will play a three-Test series in March.
