Tami & Tomiwa take Paris

Paris Fashion Week is aglow with SAINT International supermodels Tami Williams and Tomiwa. The French fashion capital, the last stop of the whirlwind month-long preview of designer looks for the Spring/Summer 2024 collections that kicked off in The Big Apple, has been a boon for the gorgeous catwalking pair. Between them, Williams and Tomiwa strutted for the buzzworthy collections for Chloe, Etam, Germanier and Christian Cowan.

In from New York, Jamaican-reared Williams hit the catwalk along with her Nigerian-born SAINT sister Tomiwa for luxury French lingerie brand Etam’s show of its racy collection of cleavage baring leotards, catsuits, bralettes and bodysuits. Held at the legendary Palace nightclub, the show’s celebrity attendees included rap star Tyga, Paris Jackson, and singer and actress Christina Milian.

Next up for Williams was Paris-based, Swiss designer Kevin Germanier’s spring collection hosted last Wednesday in a former car dealership’s parking garage. Germanier’s unveiled womenswear aesthetic found inspiration in nudibranchs: soft-bodied marine gastropods that are neon-coloured. His collection featured pencil skirts in printed sequins, beaded embroidered shorts and brightly coloured mini dresses.

Then, last Thursday afternoon on the banks on the Seine, Tomiwa made a ravishing appearance in a colour-block sweetheart-lined number for Chloé’s Spring/Summer 2024 show, which served as a finale for the luxury fashion house’s departing creative director Gabriella Hearst’s three-year tenure.

Later in the evening, Tomiwa glided on a matted fake fur covered floor inside the American Cathedral in Paris for New York-based designer Christian Cowan’s first Paris collection show that was dominant with plunging v-neck mini dresses and patent combat boots.

Paris Fashion Week began September 25 and ends October 3. More than 100 runway shows and events will be presented over the period in the City of Lights that is the wrap-up destination for Fashion Month’s designer spring/summer showings which take place in successive order in New York, London and Milan.
