The Mayor of Lucea Wynter McIntosh has pleaded guilty to breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.
McIntosh admitted in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court this morning that he failed to file statutory declarations for a five-year period between 2007 and 2011.
He was fined a total of $25,000 - $5,000 for each year - by Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey.
The Lucea Mayor was among 61 public sector employees hauled before the court by the Corruption Prevention Commission (CPC) for failing to file their statutory declarations for varying periods.
Meanwhile sources say the CPC is still trying to locate McIntosh's predecessor Shernette Haughton to summon her to appear in court for the same offence.
