Marcus Garvey's son to donate father's medal of National Hero to Liberty Hall

Julius Garvey, the son of Marcus Garvey will on Thursday present his father’s medal of National Hero and other memorabilia to Liberty Hall.
Liberty Hall located at 76 King Street, downtown Kingston was the headquarters of Garvey’s United Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) in the 1930s.
Today, it is a meeting place for the UNIA and a museum with a range of items historical information and artefacts on Garvey.
The donation of the Garvey medal is to be filmed for Roy T. Anderson's documentary-film, Marcus Garvey: A Son's Story.
Even after his death Garvey’s philosophies have impacted many social and political movements in Jamaica and around the world.
