Man reportedly commits suicide after machete attack on wife and children in St Ann

The Alexandria police in St Ann are investigating an incident where a man chopped his wife and two children and then reportedly committed suicide.

The incident happened on Friday, December 6 in Maida district in Alexandria.

It is reported that the deceased, 57-year-old truck driver Winston Dave Pryce, and his family were at home when a dispute reportedly developed.

He reportedly used a machete to inflict wounds to his wife and two children.

The injured were assisted to hospital by residents.

It is reported that the man subsequently drank a poisonous substance and was also taken to hospital.

Pryce died while undergoing treatment.
