Graduates of the 18-month MultiCare Youth Foundation (MYF) YUTE Project, by PriceSmart Foundation, share a happy moment at the project’s close out ceremony on June 1, at the Terra Nova Hotel’s Pavilion in Kingston. Joining in the fun are Angela Venza (left), executive director of the PriceSmart Foundation, and Joseph M. Matalon (right), chairman of The MultiCare Youth Foundation, which is the philanthropic arm of the ICD Group. The project exceeded its target of empowering 60 young Jamaicans who were deemed at risk of becoming involved with, or victims of crime and violence. They gained critical tools, skills and opportunities to effect real changes in their lives. They hailed from communities served by PriceSmart Clubs in Kingston and St Catherine.
