17 rounds of ammunition seized in St Ann, 60-y-o blockmaker charged
A 60-year-old St Ann blockmaker has been charged following the alleged seizure of 17 rounds of ammunition at his home.
He is Clayton Whyte of Backstreet in Great Pond, Ocho Rios, who has been charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition.
Reports from the Ocho Rios police are that about 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, lawmen carried out a targeted operation at a premises occupied by Whyte.
During the operation, a search of a storeroom inside the house was conducted, and the ammunition was found.
He was arrested and subsequently charged.
A court date is currently being finalised.
