A 25-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Pembroke Hall High School Terona Thomas, otherwise called ‘Tee-Tee', in Olympic Gardens, St Andrew in April.

Daniela Morrison, a contractor of Waltham Park Road in Kingston 11, is charged with accessory before the fact and accessory after the fact to murder.

The Olympic Gardens police allege that Morrison and a man rented a silver Nissan Note motor car to carry out the April 17 attack.

The police further state that about 1:50 p.m., the armed man travelled to the location where he opened fire on a group of people, hitting Thomas and two others before escaping.

The police were summoned, and the injured persons were assisted to the hospital, where Thomas was pronounced dead. The other men were admitted for treatment.

Following the incident, Morrison allegedly retrieved the car from the man and returned it.

Morrison was formally charged following a case review.

The police say investigations continue as detectives from the St. Andrew South Division pursue other suspects connected to the incident.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force is again appealing to anyone with information that can assist in investigating this or any crime committed within the St Andrew South Police Division to contact the Hunts Bay Police CIB at (876) 923-7111, Crime Stop at 311, the Police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.

In May Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness announced a $2 million reward fund for information leading to the apprehension of Thomas' killers.

The tragic incident took place in Holness’ constituency of West Central St Andrew.
