The Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) will host a livestock clinic at Newcombe Valley Primary School in St Elizabeth on Friday, November 21.

RADA Livestock Specialist, Maxine Brown, told JIS News that the event, which begins at 10 a.m., will provide farmers with access to on-the-spot livestock health checks, feed and nutrition support, as well as deworming and vaccination guidance.

“We are inviting all livestock farmers in the area to bring your animals. You will have the expertise of the vet to deal with any issues that your animals are having, any wound… any other symptoms that you are seeing.

“If you’re a cattle farmer and you can’t bring your animals, you’ll be able to share that with them and they will give you all the tips and best practices and medication that you will need to take care of your animals,” she said.

Brown added that farmers will receive information on herd health, disease prevention, and strategies to boost operational productivity.

The clinic will feature support from Nutramix, the Jamaica Veterinary Medical Association, Hi Pro, the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and the Veterinary Services Division.
