The NAJ & Health Services Co-operative Credit Union (NAJHSCCU) celebrates its 50th Jubilee, marking a half-century of turning the principle ‘People Helping People’ into action. Since its founding in 1976, the credit union has dedicated itself to being a steadfast financial partner for Jamaica’s healthcare professionals.

For five decades, NAJHSCCU has served as a trusted financial partner for nurses, doctors, and all frontline health workers. This partnership is built on a deep understanding of their unique lives and challenges. The credit union’s clear mission is ‘Helping you to realise your dreams’, and it fulfils this by meeting members where they are.

In 2025, this commitment meant bringing services directly to healthcare professionals. Staff conducted on-site sensitisation sessions at major institutions like Spanish Town Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, and Kingston Public Hospital.

The credit union offers a range of products and services, from loans to savings plans, all tailored to meet the distinct financial rhythms and long-term goals of people working in healthcare. This thoughtful approach ensures that every financial solution aligns with the real lives of its members.

True to its family ethos, NAJHSCCU believes a celebrated team builds a stronger community. Initiatives like the Birthday Club, which recently honoured team members, including Mr Ashani Thomas and Mrs Renee Collins-Cumberland, are a heartfelt way to express gratitude to staff. This culture of appreciation ensures that the care extended to members begins with the unity and support felt within the credit union family itself.

As NAJHSCCU looks ahead, it reaffirms its dedication to innovation and deeper engagement across Jamaica’s health sector. The credit union thanks every member for their trust and partnership in this ongoing mission to build a stronger financial future, together. All healthcare workers are invited to join this supportive financial family and discover how NAJHSCCU can help them realise their dreams.
