Shelter Rock in Spanish Town under curfew
The police in Spanish Town, St Catherine have imposed a curfew in the Shelter Rock community.
The measure follows the murder of a woman who was gunned down early this morning in the community.
The curfew began at 6:00 p.m. today and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 03.
The boundaries of the curfew are:
North – From the intersection of Burke Road and the entrance of the community of Dempshire
Pen, travelling along the main road to the entrance of Jones Avenue community.
EAST - From the entrance of Jones Avenue, travelling along an imaginary line, to the exit of the Spanish Town Bypass.
SOUTH – From the exit of the Spanish Town Bypass travelling along the roadway to the sewage plant in Jones Avenue.
WEST – From the sewage plant, travelling along an imaginary line, to the intersection of Burke
Road and the entrance of the community of Dempshire Pen.
During the curfew, persons are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.
