Young leaders enjoy cocktails with Ambassador Moreno
One hundred young entrepreneurs from 20 countries in the Caribbean gathered at the residence of the United States Ambassador, Luis Moreno, on Monday for cocktails, delicious munchies and motivational talks all around.
The entrepreneurs, who are members of the Young Leaders of the Americas (YLAI), were in the island for a two-day regional workshop organised by the US Embassy and the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship.
Embracing and encouraging their dreams and aspiration, Ambassador Moreno told the group, "The future is in your hands. Don't stop digging and looking to make your country better," he shared.
Moreno noted that the fear of failure can be a hindrance to success, and admitted that he sees success and the hunger for success among the young leaders.
The workshops focused on entrepreneurship and was designed to examine unique challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs in the Caribbean, and encourage growth and collaboration outside of the region.
Cocktails was a great ending to the first day of sharing wisdom and experiences. It left everyone excited and in heightened anticipation for the next day of the workshop which ended on Tuesday.
