Global leaders in ICT Huawei have partnered with Jamaica’s premier tertiary institutions; the University of the West Indies, Mona and the University of Technology, Jamaica, to give students first hand experiences through its Seeds for the Future Programme. The programme, which allows students to travel from Jamaica to Huawei’s Headquarters in Shanghai China, has for the better part of a decade allowed students to garner industry knowledge while experiencing an immersion of Chinese Culture. The 2019 batch of Seeds for the Future were recently awarded at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. These are the highlights.
