Wadadah FC upset league winners, and mid-season champions, Faulkland FC, with a penalty shootout victory after playing to a 1-1 scoreline, to claim the JFF Western Confederation/Charley’s JB Rum Super League title. The result also sees them advancing to the Red Stripe Premier League playoffs.

Coach of Wadadah, Daniel Ricketts, had loads of praise for his goalkeeper Devaughn Hawthorne, who saved two of the penalty kicks to give them the win. Ricketts described his team's performance on the night as excellent.

“I think the guys played excellently today," he said. "At the end, most of the guys got tired. They had to put in a fight and eventually, it worked out.”

The game came alive in the second half when Oshane Hunter broke the deadlock for Wadadah. However, eight minutes later, Marvin Sangster drew Faulkland level. After 120 minutes of play, the game was decided with a 6-5 penalty scoreline, courtesy of Hawthorne’s heroics.
