Jamaica Tallawahs defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 22 runs in the Caribbean Premier League at Warner Park on Wednesday.

The Patriots won the toss and sent the Tallawahs in to bat, with the Jamaican franchise getting to 169 for eight off 20 overs with Shamarh Brooks 43, Rovman Powell 37 and Andre Russell 28 getting the bulk of the runs against Fawad Ahmed 2-14 and Jon-Russ Jaggesar 2-20.

Migael Pretorius then knocked over three Patriots wickets for 26 runs to limit the hosts to 147 for eight off 20 overs.

Devon Thomas 35, Joshua Da Silva 28 and Dominic Drakes 22 were among the runs for the Patriots, while Veerasammy Permaul helped himself to bowling figures of 2-31.
