Nippy Nkrumie, Cole, the fastest through to under-20 Carifta Trials final
World Under-20 silver medallist Bouwahjgie Nkrumie threw down the gaunlet to his challengers in the boys’ under-20 100 metres at the Carifta Trials this evening at the National Stadium.
Nkrumie, who won the silver at the Carfita Games, qualified for the final with a stunning 10.19 seconds, by far, the fastest time among the qualifiers. Jamaica College's Hector Benjamin was the second fastest with 10.31 and Javon Blair of Manchester High was third fastest with 10.43.
Among the girls, Edwin Allen's Serena Cole set the pace with 11.22. Petersfield's Alexis James (11.24) had the second fastest time while Tia Clayton of MVP track club (11.53) had the third fastest time.
