Jamaica\'s Sunshine Girls retain title

Jamaica’s young Sunshine Girls retained the Jean Pierre Under-16 Caribbean Netball Championships in Antigua last night with one round of matches remaining.
The Jamaicans easily beat Trinidad and Tobago 46 to 18 to record their sixth consecutive win. It was the first defeat for the Trinidadians.
Marvadean Anderson scored 22 goals from 35 attempts to lead Jamaica’s victory charge.
She was supported by Deneen Taylor 13 from 20 and Alana Chambers 11 from 13.
Samantha Wallace had 12 goals from 15 attempts for Trinidad and Tobago.
St. Lucia beat Grenada 24-15, while Barbados defeated Dominica 34-19 and St. Vincent and the Grenadines crushed Antigua and Barbuda 36-5.
Jamaica will face Barbados in its final game later today at 6.45 p.m.
