T&T reappoints President

Trinidad and Tobago President, George Maxwell Richards has been re-elected head of state for a new five year term.



Richards, 77, was nominated by 15 members of the ruling People\'s National Movement (PNM), including Prime Minister Patrick Manning.



He is the fourth head of state since the twin-island nation attained its political independence from Britain in 1961.



Richards, a former principal of the St. Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies will take his new oath of office on March 16.
