It was a night of Caribbean excellence in the men’s javelin throw final at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships as Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott and Grenada’s Anderson Peters claimed the gold and silver medals.
Walcott, the 2012 Olympic champion, claimed the world title in a season's best 88.16 metres.
Peters, a two-time world champion, was second with 87.38m, with Curtis Thompson of the USA taking the bronze medal with a best effort of 86.67m.
