Former champions Norman Manley High will be aiming for their third consecutive win in this year’s ISSA/WATA Manning Cup competition when they host Eltham High at Maxfield Park today at 3:30 p.m.

Norman Manley, who blanked Penwood 3-0 in their last outing, lead Zone D with six points, edging St Catherine High and Campion College on goal difference. Clan Carthy High and Eltham High sit on three points each, while Innswood, Papine, and Penwood remain pointless.

Head coach Shane-Michael Gage said his players are locked in on the task at hand and determined to deliver another strong performance.

“We are going there very focused on delivering a well-executed performance and I am confident that we can pull it off,” he said. “These three points are very important for us, and my team is aware of the assignment at hand. They will be doing all that they can to achieve this victory on Friday.”

Gage stressed that while the target is three wins on the trot, his team will not underestimate their opponents.

“We most definitely want to make it three in a row, but we are not going to take our opponents lightly, because the ball is round, and we will respect everyone. We have to compare and stick to our game and try to achieve the utmost for this match,” he added.

Norman Manley will look to key players Raynick Waisome, Hernando Henry, and Davine Dodd to spearhead their charge against an Eltham side that fell 2-0 to St Catherine in their last game.

In the group’s other fixture, Clan Carthy will face Papine.
