Sophia Brown goes into merchandising
While Sophia Brown is busy preparing for the release of her sophomore album Catch Me if You Can, which is due out in a couple of months, a new business venture is now on the horizon.
Brown begins promotion of her new and exclusive line of brand-name merchandise.
The line, Sophia Brown, will offer a wide range of memorabilia products which include T-shirts, jewellery, clocks, calendars, blankets, key chains, license plate frames, greeting cards, yoga mats, iPhone cases, hoodies and sweats, pajamas, cups, mugs, hot and cold flasks, men's performance blazers, and maternity wear.
According to Brown, the idea for the line presented itself last year.
"I first thought about starting a merchandise line around a year ago when I started getting more recognition internationally. It was a move that would allow my fans to enjoy more of who I am as an artist. Since then, the whole idea started to manifest and I am proud to finally unveil what we have been working on," she said.
Brown's line of products will be manufactured and distributed in the United States by Café Press, a company which specialises in custom-designed items, and is said to have an average of 11 million visitors to its website per month.
Sophia Brown explained that, at present, the merchandise will be available for sale online via her official website but plans are already under way to have them in stores soon.
For those waiting to get a sample of the brand Sophia Brown, an official launch of the line is being planned around the release of her album.
