People’s National Party (PNP) said nominations for the post of general secretary would close next week Monday.

A release from the party said it is aiming to fill the position at a meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) on January 20.

The post became vacant following the resignation of Donald Buchanan last month.

Among the persons being touted as possible replacements are Dr. D.K Duncan, Horace Dalley, Peter Bunting, Basil Waite and Maureen Webber.
