The premiere of Ava DuVernay’s 14th brings together film and conversations about citizenship, equal protection and the legacy of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution. A companion to her 2016 documentary 13th, the film shifts the focus to birthright citizenship and the ongoing debate over who is recognised as American. On the red carpet, guests keep things varied with structured silhouettes, bold prints and understated looks.
