Celebrating its 45th year, the sold-out American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) Hummingbird Gala transformed Manhattan’s iconic Plaza Hotel into a dazzling showcase of elegance, influence, and Jamaican excellence. The prestigious black-tie affair drew an illustrious gathering of Jamaica’s political leaders, distinguished guests, celebrated philanthropists, and influential New York powerbrokers. It was an evening where glamour met generosity, with impeccable fashion, meaningful connections, and a shared commitment to Jamaica taking centre stage. Four and a half decades on, the AFJ gala has evolved into more than a fundraising event. It is a coveted invitation and a celebration of the enduring bond between Jamaica and its diaspora.
