At just eight years old, up-and-coming Jamaican artiste Zoe Ravaz is already showing the kind of confidence, ambition, and star quality that many performers spend years trying to develop. With a love for performance, a growing catalogue of songs, and dreams of one day gracing the Grammy stage, the young entertainer is steadily carving out her own lane in music while embracing every moment of the journey.

Before stepping into music, Zoe Ravaz, born Kennedy Williams, first found her love for entertainment through dancing. In fact, her stage name ‘Zoe Ravaz’ was born during her dancing days, long before she ever recorded a song. But after spending time as a dancer, the youngster grew bored and decided she was ready for something new.

“Yeah, I was a dancer before music,” she shared. “But I got tired of dancing and wanted to try something new.”

That ‘something new’ quickly became music and, according to Zoe Ravaz, it all started when she recorded her very first song titled Two last year. From that moment, she realised music was something she truly loved and wanted to pursue seriously.

Now preparing to celebrate her ninth birthday on June 18, the young entertainer already speaks with confidence far beyond her years. While she admitted that for her very first performance she was feeling very shy, those nerves are now a thing of the past.

“That’s all gone,” she declared confidently. “I’m a star!”

It is that fearless energy that makes Zoe Ravaz stand out. While many children her age may still be figuring out what they enjoy, she already knows exactly what excites her most about being an artiste, and that is performing.

“I love to perform in front of people. That’s the part that makes me the happiest,” she said excitedly.

The young singer’s inspirations are also some of Jamaica’s biggest names in music. Zoe Ravaz proudly listed dancehall heavyweight Shenseea as her overall favourite artiste, alongside Vybz Kartel and Spice, as the artistes she admires most and hopes to collaborate with one day.

Though still early in her musical journey, she already has around five songs written and continues to spend time sharpening her craft both at home and in the studio. She revealed that she practises regularly with her family and visits the studio weekly under the guidance of DHW Recording and producer DHW.

Her upcoming single, Rich People Things, is about to create excitement as preparations begin for the music video shoot, although an official release date has not yet been confirmed.

While Zoe Ravaz enjoys making music the most, her ambitions stretch far beyond just recording songs. The young entertainer dreams of becoming a celebrity, touring the world, and one day performing on her dream stage — the Grammys.

Outside of music, she enjoys many of the simple joys of childhood, including travelling, shopping, and reading. But despite her young age, she already understands the importance of confidence and self-belief, a message she hopes other children will embrace as well.

“Don’t be shy. Be bold and be yourself,” is her encouraging message to other children.

With charisma, confidence, and a growing passion for music, Zoe Ravaz is proving that age is no limitation when talent and ambition collide.
