Seville hunts another sub-10 time in 100m

WORLD Athletics Championships gold medallist Oblique Seville, fresh off his 9.96 seconds season opener in the 100 metres at last Saturday's JAAA/Puma All Comers meet, will return to the track today.
Seville will lead a strong Jamaican contingent competing at the E.B. Cushing Stadium at Texas A&M University in College Station, United States, at the World Continental Tour Gold meet.
Seville will be joined in the 100m by fellow Jamaican Kadrian Goldson, who has already clocked 9.99 this season. They will face a formidable field that includes Great Britain's Zharnel Hughes, Canada's Andre De Grasse, and the United States trio of Brandon Hicklin, Ronnie Baker, and Trayvon Bromell.
Four Jamaicans will contest the women's 100m. They will be led by World Relays 4x100m gold medallist Jodean Williams. She will be joined by Niesha Burgher, Briana Williams, and Sabrina Dockery. Tamari Davis will spearhead the United States' challenge in the event.
World Championships representative Ackera Nugent will compete in the women's 100m hurdles alongside Demisha Roswell, who is coming off a third-place finish two weeks ago at the LA Fest Track meet. The field will also include Americans Nia Ali, Alia Armstrong and Grace Stark. Also down to compete is France's Cyrena Samba-Mayela.
Andrenette Knight will contest the women's 400m hurdles as she looks to improve on her eighth-place finish at the Rabat Diamond League. She will line up against American Shamier Little and Canada's Savannah Sutherland.
The other Jamaican woman in action will be Stacy-Ann Williams in the women's 400m. She will face a strong field led by Nigeria's Ella Onojuvwevwo, who recently ran a personal best 49.59 seconds, along with Americans Britton Wilson and Bailey Lear.
Adella Tracy who will contest the women's 800m, sprint hurdler Tyler Mason and national 800m record holder Navasky Anderson will be the other Jamaicans in action, competing in their respective events on the track while Raymond Richards and Romaine Beckford will compete in the high jump.
