Reggae Girlz captain Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has made history after finishing third in the 2026 Women’s Ballon d’Or rankings, becoming the highest-placed Jamaican in the history of the prestigious football award.

The Manchester City striker earned the recognition following an outstanding 2025-26 season, during which she scored 21 goals in 22 Women’s Super League matches, helping City secure the league title and FA Cup.

She also claimed her third consecutive WSL Golden Boot.

Shaw finished behind Poland’s Ewa Pajor, who placed second, and Spain’s Alexia Putellas, who captured her third Ballon d’Or at Monday’s ceremony in London.
