Jamaica opened their account in the 2026 Pan-American Men’s Lacrosse Championship in dominant fashion after thumping Colombia 22-2 in Group A action at Stadium East earlier tonight.

Hunting a statement win, Jamaica opened the scoring with just three minutes on the clock before racing to a 4-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Jamaica continued to press the advantage and piled on the pressure to enter half-time with an 8-2 lead.

However, the final two quarters proved detrimental for the Colombians as they failed to contain the Jamaican onslaught and were outscored 8-0 and 6-0 as Jamaica closed the game 22-2.

Elias McLaughlin top-scored for Jamaica with four goals while Stone Evans, Hayden Hiltz, Isaac Newland and Karl Robison contributed with three goals each.

With the win, Jamaica takes the early lead in Group A with one point.

In the day’s earlier games, world number three ranked team Haudenosaunee drubbed Argentina 28-1 in dominant fashion while Canada, ranked second, turned back Mexico 19-2.

Jamaica will take on reigning world champions United States in their second match on Wednesday.
