Jamaican international footballer Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards has joined English League One club AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The club made the announcement today.
Richards says he’s excited to join the club and is ready to find the back of the net.
“Can't wait to play in front of you guys and score some goals in front of you guys. Really, really happy to join,” he said in a video posted on the club’s Instagram page.
The Reggae Boyz striker returns to England after spending the second half of last season on loan at Championship club Leicester City.
Richards joined Chelsea in January 2024 and made an immediate impact with the club’s under-21 team, scoring seven goals in 10 appearances during the second half of that season.
He was sidelined by injury during the following campaign but later returned to action with the under-21s.
At international level, Richards scored once during Jamaica’s unsuccessful 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, finding the net in the Reggae Boyz’s 4–0 victory over Bermuda in October 2025.
