NEW YORK, United States (CMC):
Guyana’s former world-rated boxer Raul Frank has been inducted into the Ring 8 New York State Boxing Hall of Fame.
Frank, who in 2024 was inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame, was named in the Class of 2026.
He joins several other respected fighters such as Tunde Foster, Bob Stallings, Louie Hubela, Larry Stanton, John Rome, Julio Cesar Green, and John Rowe, all who represented the heart of the New York fight scene.
A fixture of the New York boxing circuit, including time at Gleason’s Gym, Frank earned recognition for in-ring accomplishments and his dedication to the sport.
In his inauguration, Frank delivered a speech alongside his brother, Ronson Frank, CEO of Uprising Promotions and co-owner of Hit the Deck Boxing Gym, and his son, Joshua Frank, a Berkeley law graduate and lawyer within the New York court system.
Frank ended with a 29-5-3 professional record, 14 of which ended inside the distance.
He is a two-time USBA champion; having won the welterweight title by defeating Purcell Miller and later capturing the super welterweight title. He is also a former IBF Latino super welterweight champion, which he won by defeating Mohamad Abdallah Said Salem.
