Motorists travelling along Dr Horace Chang Boulevard in Montego Bay, St James are being advised of a detour to facilitate ongoing works on the Montego Bay Perimeter Road Project.
The National Road Operating and Constructing Company Limited (NROCC) says traffic is being diverted from Dr Horace Chang Boulevard via Ironshore Industrial Road, on the western side of the Montego Bay Perimeter Road, to Ironshore Avenue.
Motorists travelling from the Elegant Corridor towards Dr Horace Chang Boulevard should turn right onto Ironshore Drive at the four-way traffic signal, then turn left onto the upgraded local road.
That road connects with the realigned section of Dr Horace Chang Boulevard, allowing motorists to continue towards Norwood.
Motorists travelling from Norwood towards the Elegant Corridor should enter the realigned section of Dr Horace Chang Boulevard, turn left onto the upgraded local road and then left onto Ironshore Drive, continuing to the traffic signal at the intersection with the Elegant Corridor.
NROCC is encouraging motorists to exercise caution while travelling through the area and to observe all posted signs and directions.
The company says additional traffic changes may be implemented periodically as work continues on this phase of the Montego Bay Perimeter Road Project.
